Volker Sick

Volker Sick is the DTE Energy Professor of Advanced Energy Research, an Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, and he serves as the Director of the Global CO₂ Initiative at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on accelerated deployments of CO₂-utilization technologies, developing and applying optical measurement techniques for studies of mass and energy transfer as well as diseases of the human eye. His teaching includes laboratory courses, the International Engineering Summer School at TU Berlin, and Techlab@Mcity. He received numerous awards for teaching, research, and service, and is a Fellow of SAE International and the Combustion Institute.
