A distinguished researcher and educator, Jean-Pierre brought unparalleled expertise and dedication to advancing the CarMa Chair’s mission of driving innovation in carbon management and negative emissions technologies.

Over his tenure, Jean-Pierre played a pivotal role in shaping the chair’s research agenda and building bridges between academia and industry. His work focused on advancing the understanding of carbon storage and capture technologies, as well as exploring their integration into sustainable energy systems. Through his efforts, the chair has fostered numerous impactful collaborations with institutions such as MIT, INRAE, Mines ParisTech, CNRS, and AgroParisTech, producing groundbreaking research and mentoring a generation of researchers and doctoral students.
